Hi guys, my sister's MacBook just arrived a few days ago, she asked me to reformat the OS because the technician anyhow name her MacBook when installing a few application.

When I reinstall, the desktop shows up, all application and stuff are still there. (it's reformat but applications are no removed.) But i don't remember there's any option for me to erase all and install a new OS. Right now, when I install application, Leopard prompt me for admin and pass. But I did not set any password. I can't install or set anything in preferences.

Anyone know what's wrong?

are you sure you reformat? Did u go to disk utility and reformat your drive or simply pop in the disk and did a reinstall. The latter is not reformating.
