One of my irritation at macbook series is the lack of USB port. Any1 can suggest a good (and unexpensive) USB port for macbook pro? No need so fancy and exp one like moshi....just simple one is enough. Last time I tried a S$15 USBhub, it does not have enough power to power my 2.5" HDD.

Why not get a powered USB hub? i'm using one from logitech. Additional gain of 3 USB ports.

logitech is quite branded one so I guess it's kind of expensive?

Does powered one means you have to plug it to power point?

Yup. Using a 4 port powered USB hub by belkin.

save up , pay abit more ....

buy those branded type and it can lasted long, and be assured that even when its spoil, its under warranty like 1 year..

when data is written and eased now and then ,get low risk of harddisk corrupting, its good to get those brand that you can trust...

I do agree with you. But some brands are just way too overpriced. moshi...to name one (although I gotta admit, theur products are of high quality).
