All,
I just bought a new MBA 3 months ago and within 1 month the airport card failed with the message "No Airport card installed". After Apple has changed the Airport card, within another month Airport card starts to turn off on its own while surfing. 2 days ago, the airport card failed ago. 2 hardware FAILERS in 3 months!!! After sales service is very poor too. I want my money back!!

I think they have a (unwritten?) policy that units will be replaced entirely if more than 4 hardware failures within the warranty period. My friend got a top-of-the-line unibody MBP after his non-unibody MBP failed repeatedly.

Thanks folks for your advice. I notice the airport failed when i perform a software update. 1st was for 1.5.x and now is for SL.

Does anyone know if there's a Apple office here? Last heard there's an Apple office in AMK. I checked ACRA but couldn't find any listing.

anyway, i doubt Apple would do a complete qc test per system as the costs on their side would eat into the profits. At the most would be a boot up test or batch testing like 1 per 1000 or 1 per shipment and so on.

The osx is good...my doubts is on the components used.

Wouldn't there be an Apple Office in S'pore? I am aware of Sappura and they are Apple reseller, as stated i had to make 3 trip to their service centre. Where their job is to sell and support. Any complaints on the quality or product failure to "deliver" will need to be address by Apple entity itself, i guess. I am looking to track down Apple entity here to deal with them directly.

Any advices?

They only have a corporate legal office here in Singapore. No customer-facing departments by Apple operate in Singapore.

Your best bet is via AppleCare on the phone, requesting to speak to Customer Relations, before 3 pm Singapore Time.
