oo.. thank u so much for the info.. looks very good..

Hmm..
- May i know if the car kit is a must have, to go with e app?
Actually we just need to install the app, everything will be working already right?
We just need a normal dock/holder to hold in ard eye level, and maybe a charger to charge it correct?

- then do we need any subscriptions monthly fee?

- do we need to buy maps after installations? i need msia and Sg map.

- Do we need to have internet connections at all time?

ANS No, you don’t need the car kit for the TomTom app to work on your iPhone. The app already works very well on its own. The car kit does provide several compelling features to maximize the experience of using your iPhone in the car. The car kit enhances the GPS performance which will be especially useful in areas where GPS reception is limited, i.e. when driving through a city with high buildings or through forests. You can also benefit from the other great functionalities offered by the car kit to make driving and navigating enjoyable and safe.

No, the TomTom app comes with the map of your choosing.
but anybody know if they have msia and sg map??

wow the tom tom car kit look good.. but dont tink it comes cheap.. well i tink it really depend on how fast yr iphone gps link up.. but a standalone gps normal link in ard 30s, that for my own experience with garmin and shinco.. i have navigator and n97.. occasional they are able to match the speed of linking but when the car is moving, it nearly impossible for those 2 phone to link..

Just my 2 cent tho

i would rather get a cheapest garmin set. maps can be updated via MSM or MFM. No need to worry about incoming voice call and navigation.

Touching your phone (regardless if you are using it as GPS) while driving is an offense :p
