Zepto Sager MSI OCZ promotions MucrodotAsia Sep 10th, 09, 11:30 AM 7 links from elsewhere to this Post. Click to view. #1 (permalink)
As is our tradition, we will post the prices we've uploaded in pricewatch for your info. Apologize as there are no pictures. With so many laptops and so little time we had to rush through these.

Which laptops are you talking about?

The Sagers are customizable since the prices are based on the customizable prices.

MSIs are not customizable as we are not allowed to modify or improve it so we just sell low since we don't need to warranty them

We put the Zepto specials on 100SGD less than the customizable versions because we are very sure of the cost and we know these are the bestish options. The customizable Zeptos are harder to discount as some items have extremely low margins and some higher. You can contact us for your particular configuration and we'll work out the price for those.
All black Zeptos ordered with 9 cell will come with a free 6 cell battery until extra stock of 6 cell runs out.

I'm looking at the sager np2098. Just wondering what are the cost savings/freebies given as compared to normal times and when this promo will be till.

I'm looking at the following specs upgrade
c2d 8600
4gb ram
500gb 7200 sata
wifi 5300
no os
and additional warranty (may I know why there is such a big difference between 3 years and 3 years, 30 day no dead pixel? also, what is the warranty coverage you recommend?)

Cost difference, there wouldn't be much because Sager machines tend to run their own prices. There was an update on Sager's price recently but this is a change on the NP8662 than anything else. Price changes are always dependant on Sager.

The no dead pixel warranty machine will require a longer wait and is more expensive because it is manually checked in the factory for no dead pixels. Our recommendation is actually 1-2 years Sager warranty.

Its actually $1999 not 2158. You need to pick the special. No overheating (at least not that hot) and GPU is upgradable.

GPU upgradable laptops are:
Zepto (official, individual GPUs are already selling)
G15b and G14b

Sager (when they are willing to allow us to buy GPUs)
NP9280, NP9850, NP8662

OCZ (when they are ok with it)
17 inch ATI crossfire edition (still waiting for the update)

Generally Vista Business is not really much different from Home Premium.
Not sure if you can get the stock easily and its expensive (because Singapore's prices are not very good) In fact, it seems to have gone up.

With Vista Business 64bit w/W7 coupon, You can contact via PM/email for 90 off.

The Display unit is in PC Dreams now. Sorry for the trouble. The machine actually has a "Razer-like" texture.
