I bought iRiver MP3 player 4GB with Divoom iTour 10 speaker. Costed around $135 at the Comex mid this month. Suddenly the iTour 10 speaker stopped working. Still in brand new condition. No scratches, all intact. Their receipt was poorly printed so I could hardly see. I called up McCoy and told them that their speaker stopped working and I have the box as well. I also recognise the man who sold me the unit as he was from McCoy. The Customer Service lady said no receipt we cannot exchange.

Who in their right minds will keep a very lightly printed receipt?! Little did I know that on the receipt was a URL for warranty registration. DIE! I did not register. Like I said, it was lightly printed receipt and I threw it away. I told the lady I bought it at Comex and I also purchased the iRiver MP3 player. She said ok just bring down and we'll see what we can do. I confirmed with her the address and she said they have moved from Boon Lay to Ang Mo Kio. I stay in Bedok. Took me 4hours to go back and forth. $5+ for bus & MRT and feeder back and forth. I reached there and she said ya, the product no sound. I said I KNOW it cannot produce sound that's why I wanted a replacement and I spoke to you and you insisted that I come down for u to see the item and you'll see what you can do. Now she says the mgmt say no receipt cannot exchange. Need to pay $10 + 7% GST, so total $10.70, then they can do a 1 to 1 exchange. NA BEY!

Over the phone 1st u say no receipt cannot do anything. Then u insist for me to bring down the unit so u can see what u can do. Now u say mgmt say no receipt u cannot do anything. YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT OVER THE PHONE u stupid #itch! Wasted 4hours of my time!! Wasted my transport cost!! Insist for me to come down just so u can say if I cannot produce receipt u cannot exchange! SHIT! McCoy's products are as bad their customer service! Their CS will insist for u to come down and then tell u the same thing they told u over the phone. Any products from McCoy are guaranteed by their as good after Customer Sales service. They both equally SUCK!!

I asked McCoy when was Divoom launched in Singapore and they said only in March this year.

In the end I did not pay $10.70 and just turn around and walked out the door without saying anything. DAMN YOU MCCOY!!

A word of fairness. I think you are wrong in the first place because you have no receipt and 2ndly you did not register your warranty. When u buy the thing, if the receipt is lightly printed, you can ask for another one.
Having said that, it is all down to the shop to how they want to handle your case. Give you the benefit of the doubt or go by the book and shut the door on you.
I agree they shouldnt ask you to go down if they dun intend to help. When the lady ask you to go down, i believe it's a delay tactic.

I can understand your frustration, being anxious want to get things settle, waste time take bus and in the end nothing gets solved.
CON SHOP BEWARE. I HAVE PUT A CURSE ON YOU THAT YOUR WHOLE FAMILY NO-GOOD DIE !!!!
