Afternoon market recovering...sigh...guess no more bargains this week.
Probably take Friday off liao.
Asonic did fly. Did not get any placements or IPOs. But bought 40 lots at 0.530 Wed morning. Sold half this morning...probably will keep the other half in my portfolio. :D

Dun think anything will happen tomorrow. The market has recovered well after the initial dips and is up a sufficient level that, if any dips does happen, will not be very much.

It's times like these when this lesson from Sun Zi is most appropriate:
http://www.wallstraits.com/main/article.asp?id=847
A short extract:
"SUN TZU LESSONS: CONTROL IS NOT IMPORTANT
’In ancient times skillful warriors first made themselves invincible, and then watched for vulnerability in their opponents. Therefore skillful warriors are able to be invincible, but they cannot cause opponents to be vulnerable. That is why it is said that victory can be discerned but not manufactured.’
Control is not important
It is interesting that Master Sun noted victory could be ’discerned but not manufactured.’ Knowing this, a general becomes patient instead of aggressive. The general’s time is best spent becoming more thoroughly prepared for any possible future situation, contemplating the various possibilities that may unfold. The greater his degree of preparation, the more likely he will one day discern a time when victory can be essentially guaranteed. The weather, terrain, troop-strength, and leadership conditions that create sure-win situations are not crafted by the general, indeed, they are not even under his control, but if he is adequately prepared to discern the perfect situation when it arrives he will be likely to confidently take advantage of it.
Master sun could not control the weather, the terrain, or the level of cleverness of the opposition’s leadership, he could only observe these things and use them to his advantage at opportune times. No investor has significant control over economic cycles, interest rates and short-term stock price movements. Such control is not necessary. Investors are only responsible for watching, studying, and waiting."

I picked up some SIA at 10.8. BIG BLUE Chips post lower earning for small investor like me. The most can only afford 400 to 600 shares of it.. No point buying. Release mine at $10.7 MTHS ago.. Bought at $8.8 :D

i know. I did the same during the SARS crisis. Dun be greedy. My target price is 11.50 for SIA for 400. A few hundred bucks is good enough for me.
