Where to get a higher exchange rate. Change in singapore or change over at australia? Blacklotus should be able to help....

change over at the country's bank shd give u better rates......but still u need some to survive ur landing :p

How much u want to change? I go for conveniece if it is going to be a short trip and change in SG.

Definitely change in your base currency's country of origin. The rates are usually better.
e.g. If you are want to change SG$ into other currencies, do so it Singapore.
This is especially so if the foreign countries doesn't accept SG$ outright. e.g. Japan. Then, you have to suffer another conversion layer from SG$ to US$, then from US$ to Yen.
BTW, you can usually get better rates at money changers. Shop around. My favourite area is Lucky Plaza or Change Alley. The numerous money changers in one building/place means you can shop around for a good rate.

The most i can save is ard a few bucks but better than nothing :D

Yes. Quite correct. I just changed $2500 into Yen for my Japan holiday yesterday at change alley.

Chinatown is also ok.
