There isnt really much difference...Mid-Range to Touring is what you would want to look at...
Michellin and Pirelli are regarded as the more expensive range of tyres which use a slightly softer rubber compound which is slightly better gripped and less road noise however the can wear faster. Seen that the average temperature in SG is pretty hot, they will wear out more. I might be talking to the more extreme of things but do take them into considerations.
Japanese tyres varies here. Bridgestone offers a wide range of tyres while other such as Advan, Toyo are more focus with the performance sector.
Anything that your 15" will suit should be good with a price tag of around the median...My BMW runs on GoodYear Ducatio which isnt bad its a well gripped design however the rubber is slightly hard for New Zealand roads...so I mean there are too many aspects out there to cater for every single car out there...

I'm getting a new set of Kumho for tracking. Just tortured my 8-month old Bridgestone Turanza to near death. See my blog at oneshift for details.

If you go tracks, get the cheap tyres for the purpose.

that's a generalisation...
falken has quiet tyres too.
tyre noise is caused by the tyre compund and threads - wider, deeper threads on a tyre will cause more noise. Most 'sports' tyres have such threads (different patterns), thus more noise, if you do not want noise, get a 'normal' tyre... with fine threads.

true.. i doubt there exists an individual that has thoroughly tried all the tyres....
usually what people say is based on their experience Or based on hearsay....
for both my falks, so far they've been very quiet... so it depends on the individual
