Juz a bit curious...where do those PI dealers get their cars from? For example, they contact the authorized sellers in Japan to get Japanese cars? (Toyota, Mazda, etc.)

Wonder if their sources are trustworthy...cos PI cars seem to be quite faulty.... :rolleyes

If i am not mistaken, PI cars are actually cars that are bought in lets say, japan. They are then deregistered and shipped over to sg.

It all depends on how big the PI is.
however, the notion of PIs not giving any warranty is still just a myth...
if they don't even provide warranty, i doubt people will be arsed to even get cars from them.

They don't provide warranty, it'll be their loss... they lose customers. U think they'll do such a thing?

Ya please enlighten me too! I was always under the impression that PI cars are immediately deregistered after purchase and shipped over.

PI's do give warranty - some even 3 years!. I can vouch for that as I have been shopping for a Toyota Estima/Previa lately. In my personal experience, I found that PI's do give a good deal.
However, I ended up buying from Borneo motors, as I felt that many of the Sales persons at PI's were out to sell a car but most had very poor product knowledge and wasted my time (twice I almost signed a deal with them only for the sales person to tell me that he quoted me the wrong specs!) - the only exception was the staff at Richburg(who really had great product knowledge - but their prices were high) whereas the Borneo motors sales person knew his/her product well and it inspired confidence in me.
In the end, I decided that paying a few k more for professionalism and ease of mind was worth it! - Just my experience to share.
