CM2008 will hit the shelves on the 2nd of November and the demo will be available from the 12th of October.

So far, i've yet to try. Only completed the installation earlier this morning. Perhaps may give it a try later this evening while waiting for the Champions League games to kick-off. Anyone tried the demo?

Are you sure ? I thought -ve means the player attributes will decrease over time ?

Look at Rooney and C.Ronaldo ... both eventual world-class players. Potential is 19X, not -1 or -2.

if they have definite number like ronald for eg, they will surely reach that level.
but with -, example 2 they may increase to that range but its not fixed,
for what i know from the old version, -2 is certainly above 19X-200.

-1 is of lower range, i forgot the value but i think its above 16X-18X.

I don't think so because almost the entire Reserve and Under 18 players have -1 or -2 and most of them are rubbish IMO.

Hey bro, even other clubs (including your Everton) have lots of youngsters with -1 or -2 potential. I think the older version of FM isn't the same as the newer ones.

That may be true but don't think the -1 and -2 thing that you said is correct because all the inferior clubs (including those in S-League) have tons of such players. Can't be so many potential world-class players otherwise the game will be unrealistic.

But by editing the dB itself may change the game to be unrealistic.

Anyway the reason i think nani & anderson is given -ve rating is due to the game dB being concluded in Aug. Wait for the patch and it'll reflect their true potential based on the recent games played. (which may be bad as they may also increase the ratings for Arsenal players)

It is definitely very personal. I'm editing it to match my perceived rating of each player so that it'll be more realistic for me.

Of course it is highly subjective but I'm dead sure Nani and Anderson will become world-class players so I've got to edit their stats to match that. :hat1:

... and Cristiano Ronaldo's freekick rating seems too low so I've got to edit that too. :hat1:
