Very important to have Yu Sheng.
I remember two years in a row my family ate around CNY at the Raffles Town Club western restaurant..I ask the captain to bring yu sheng down from the chinese restaurant. My elder brother so embarrassed, kept saying people are looking at us.
I said "That's coz they're JEALOUS of our yu sheng!" He was being silly about it, so upset. But of course time to eat, eat a lot.
Tried lobster yu sheng one year but even though the lobster is fresh, I always like my lobster hot and still prefer the salmon or saito (Sp?) fish yu sheng by leaps and bounds :D
mmm
In the past every year would go to the Goodwood restaurant (is it Min Jiang?) the one at the side, down a stairs. But one or two years ago we went, it was way way too crowded to get in so we broke tradition. Now don't miss it.
