I just got the letter asking me to book an appointment for medical examination. Just wondering what test will they do etc? If lets say you inform them you got certain problems will they do further test on you?

they'll do quite a few tests, eyesight, sound test, your height and weight, whether you have a complete set of teeth, mental health examination, IQ and EQ test.

if lets say you got certain problems you have been facing, but you dun have external medical report to support it. but when you inform the MO, will they do anything abt it, or just brush it off?

You better have the relevant documents to prove it. Cos a lot of chao kengers so MOs are usually very cynical.
X-Rays, doctor's letters, blah blah, you name it. One good example will be flat foot. If it isn't very serious and you do not have a specialist's letter to support you, they will just ignore you.

bring along all ur medical docs if u have, if dun have, bo bian have to get it from hospital for quite a high price, ~$70/piece.
for flat foot say got flat foot. for the heart problem, the ECG scan will reveal it. Just remind the MO of these
its good to tell of any previous injury or medical info without a medical report. they will send u to the hospital for checkup, its paid by CMPB.

One of my fren who got flat foot was not downgraded by the MO. Guess what he was told? "We don't downgrade ppl with flat foot." But the best thing is that I've met ppl who were downgraded cos of flat foot, and they all had specialist's letters.
For flat foot maybe you can see a sports injury related private specialist like http://www.hotfrog.sg/Companies/Dr-Chook-Sports-Lifestyle-Medical-Centre
Heart prob go to National Heart Centre... Seriously, you wanna put your life at the hands of the MOs??? Most of them just graduated from Medical Sch man....

Don't need to worry...it is just like normal Medical chewckup...just that the army will ask you some question...in CMPB....
bring whatever medical document you have to CMPB...most importantly...go with a friend....if not very sian one...you can spend around 4 hours at the whole checkup...:thumb2:good luck....
Flat foot very easy one...got one part is you can talk to the MO there, just tell them will do...
If you are nothing serious, don't waste money getting medical document from specialist....

I had to go through the whole thing a few times.. coz they kept calling me up and said "we can't find your records, can you come down and do again?"
Anyway, my ECG was totally wrong.. The MOs didn't even notice it the 1st time i went for the whole med checkup..
Until my cardiologist told me about my condition, i had to tell the MO to look at my ECG again.. Best thing, 1 was the last guy for the day, 2-3 MOs gathered together and GOOGLEd my condition.. Coz they've never heard of it, so ya.. I don't really trust them ever since..
For minor aliments, can find MO.. Other stuff, i would seek more professional advise.. But that's just me..

Airforce is cool! I wonder if the IQ test is really an IQ test. Its damn easy!
I was surprised where I posted to though, never expected it. Hint, it is in a total different ministry, not in any part of Ministry of Defence. haha
