With the ATI Crossfire just out and the 6800U 512MB's ridiculously expensive price with few software support to fully utilize it's potential in SLI, it's better to hold it off for now.

philips ? nec ? sumsung or viewsonic???wah your question so broad and open ended a bit hard to answer leh. You want your lcd to do what? DVD? games? normal office and internet? desktop publishing? look good? Different brands got different strengths I think. They will be good in some specs but not so good in others e.g. dead pixels, brightness, viewing angles, tilability, response time, etc etc E.g. if you worried about dead pixels, go for philips which has 100% no defects policy for some models. Samsung mostl models very good but a little pricey IMHO. Viewsonic got some good models but you need to read reviews and find out which are the ones coz they also got some real duds. NEC I not beri sure.
