I went on 2/6/05 after office hour. I am really disapointed because I could not get what I want in the Show.

Generally, the booths are as follow:

1. Notebook (laptop)
2. LCD
3. Printer
4. Creative
5. Sepom
6. INk station
7. Banks/Securities
8. Ranger
9. Hardisk
10. Wireless such as D-Link
11. Computer accessories such as CD Media, keyboard, Mouse, Games and etc
12. Leadtek Graphic Card
13. XFX Graphic Card
14. Shuttle SFF
15. Food stall

I did not see Power Supply Unit (PSU), Processor (AMD or Intel)(Actually hope to see Dual Core), motherboard or RAM. I also would like to purchase PSU actually but I could not see a single PSU on sale.

As for the RAM I saw Adata, Buffalo and NCP. There was a banner of Kingston but I did not see desktop RAM. It was all Kingston Data Traveller(Thumb Drive). I saw a booth (Be*t Ba***in) selling Adata RAM for S$145.00 for Dual Channel Kit (PC 3200). Hmmm...Cheap, but it is not what I want. (I want performance series of RAM such as Adata Videsta, OCZ VX series, Corsair XMS, PDP XBLK, TwinMos PC3500 - BH5 and etc.)

I also visited a Booth beside Creative. It was XFX Graphic Card and the card was cooled by phase change. (There is vr-zone-com wording on it) I saw one of the promoter managed to push the card (6800GT) to 500/1300 using Riva Tuner. According to the promoter, the core was 325 and the memory was 1g. Too bad, they didn't run for the benchmark but demo only.

Sumary - PC Show 2005 is not for the enthusiastist but for business operation personel. I have almost all the items displayed in the show. What I do not have is the keyboard for gaming (I forgot the booth's name), laptop and 6800 series graphic card. Nothing new and most of the part(s) or item(s) can be found in Sim Lim Sq. To be exact, the varities of item(s) in SLQ is much more better than in PC Show.
As for the price point, there is not much changes as compared to SLQ. Hopefuly, someone at VR-ZOne will recommend a PSU to me.

IIRC, its 320gb for $320 with free nice goodiebag!
both the wd and amxtor are very very good deals imho as a hdd collector ... i will be buying the 320gb later, i went on thurs but i just cant resist anymore..

Just came back from PC show, bought a Shiro DECT phone with speaker and also signed up for a credit card so got free spa vouchers..lol. The corn in a cup smelled very good but we were too full to eat again.

Saw Nacchus selling a 20" lcd tv, quality looked quite good, $699 only. 1 year warranty, made in Taiwan. Viewsonic was selling 20" with 3 years warranty for $799 at Cybermind's central booth.

believe the nachus is made in china, problems i find with it is that the lcd panel is reflective, and it has no teletext :hi:

I thought the Viewsonic was a good deal $799 with integrated tv tuner and 3 years warranty. Had seen it at Cybermind Funan a few days before at $849, the demo looked good.

Nachus, I did not notice the reflectivity, maybe under certain lighting? Sunlight is it?

The more expensive one is LG-Philips panel, looked a bit dim to me but I was watching from a lower angle as it was mounted higher
