This is official and I am not making this up. According to AnimeonDVD (http://www.animeondvd.com/) and this report (http://www.c21media.net/search/search.asp?keyword=bleach&search_go.x=0&search_go.y=0), Viz has aquired Bleach anime. There has been rumors to Viz aquisition, but this makes it official. On a plus note, according to the reports, Cartoon Network is thinking of placing Bleach in their Adult Swim program. So expect, if any, very little editing to the tv programming.

The Viz licensing is explained in AnimeNewsNetwork (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/columns/answerman.php?id=225):
"Here's the thing: the anime industry doesn't really operate exactly as it used to in the early '00s. Bleach is a Viz title (and a major cash cow for them). It doesn't have to be "licensed"; it's owned by Viz's parent company, Shueisha. They don't have to "license" titles. If you see it in Shonen Jump, odds are (unless they decide to license it out to another American company, which does happen from time to time and has happened in the past) Viz will eventually be releasing it on TV and DVD. Now, to be fair, this is a relatively recent phenomenon; Viz is now focusing on developing franchises based on Shonen Jump properties, and obviously, licensing out what's sure to be a smash hit anime would be kind of a mistake.

It would be a fair assumption on your part that Viz currently owns Bleach. There's a small chance that they'll license the title out to someone else, but given their current marketing strategy, I highly doubt that will happen."

It appears that Lunar is not accepting this news as "set in stone". According their reasons:


1) We do not consider the source to be reputable.
2) There has been no official announcement from Viz
3) Why is this place the only one to have a report FOR OVER A MONTH?
4) I, personally, did some research when KgNE was licensed and some ANN (Anime News Network) people said very specifically "BLEACH IS NOT LICENSED"
5) AnimeSuki is still serving it


That's it for now... I'm not going to make this an announcement because if something comes up in the next week to back this source up, I'd like people to post and grab our attention. Until then, business as normal.

There was no Monday or Tuesday post for the Bleach release but here it is; the Wednesday post special edition! I was very busy on Monday to make a post full of news and to be honest, I forgot about it yesterday. So let's get to it with some news of the Naruto world. Some of you have heard a rumor that has been going around about the Naruto fillers. It is being said that the fillers will not stop at episode 179 but rather at 200+ so let's see the facts here:
When the fillers started we were on episode 136 and due to official statement the fillers were to continue being shown till the end of that season (127-153) and next season (154-179) would be a season full of non-manga stories. No one actually said that they'd end after the current season. But here we are with already 40+ fillers shown and we're going for 45. Will they attempt to make this torture last longer? It's true that episode 179 will have a new ending and after a couple of episodes there will be a new opening video. We could tell by the nature of those videos of what the following season has to show. I really have no idea what will happen because they already put almost 2 seasons full of fillers; will they add up more? But then again, by doing that we cant be sure what those crazy people will do next. I'm bound to get more info on this in the next few days so whatever I know, you'll know. Bleach has a few fillers scheduled to be shown before summer break and it seems as they love those 1-hour-specials because the next one will be a double so will the one after it. My guess is that they saw what happened to Naruto and they make their episodes longer so that they will always have something interesting in them. The "Bleach licenced" rumor has been confirmed. Bleach is officially licenced by Viz Entertainment.
I got in my hands pictures of the Naruto game known as Narutimate Heroe 1 in english. That's right, the game is being made in english and will be out in North America sometime during the summer. There isnt much revealed in these photo's but the game name has been changed to "Naruto Ultimate Ninja". The screenshots are found at the bottom of the post. Moving to some "leecher" news now; AnimeOne released their version of Naruto Movie 1. I didn't notice any increased quality from the Dattebayo version although the subs do look smoother and bit more acurate. The file concludes of the movie only (no sports festival in) and the cover scans. Follow the link at the bottom to get the torrent. Seeing as I have to, I'll post the late updates of the new Bleach and Naruto episode. Bleach episode 72 aired yesterday and Dattebayo has ofcourse subbed it and is available via direct download from our forums or via Bittorrent from DB's tracker. Links provided at the bottom. I really cant wait for the Legendary Menos Grande VS Shinigami WAR. Whats gonna really be crazy is that Aizen is going to be a Hollow- Shinigami who wont even show us his Shikai. Imagine what his Bankai in Hollow mode will look like and how powerfull it will be.

eh if you say like that, then can explain why the starting 63 eps, it's been following the manga all the way? FYI, for those who've been craving to find out what will happen to aizen and the hyogokyu, the menos that rescued aizen and all that.. these plots are all manga related... the original story is from the manga and planned by Kubo Tite himself...

If you hope that the anime will have it's own storyline, there're only 2 ways it can go... the FMA way, which was very successful, but did not even follow the manga storyline from the very beginning of the series...

or the Rurouni Kenshin way, which IMO was half fucked... following the manga plotline until the Kyoto Arc, only to deviate and come up with crap plotlines like the Feng Shui Arc and the Amakusa Arc... Instead of showing what everyone wanted to see so much, the Jinchuu Arc, which shows the conclusion between Kenshin and his ex-wife's brother....

so anime and manga DO have to have a common storyline.... Let me ask you... something naruto related if you even watch the series.... Do you want to continue watching naruto make curry with Rasengan? or do you want to find out more about akatsuki, orochimaru, sasuke and all?

In conclusion, I summarise IMO that seldom there are any anime that DO NOT follow the manga storyline... The reason why there's an anime in the 1st place, most of the time, it's because of how successful the manga was... I feel that if Bleach were to deviate somemore from the original plot, then it may not be worth watching already... Sure, the current eps have some excitement... But somehow, it lacks the Kubo Tite plot twists and all... What plot twists you ask? I won't say it out here, as it'll be huge spoilers for most people...

One thing i noticed about hollow ichigo is his eyes..... notice the color differences in the eyes when hollow ichigo appeared in the Byakuya fight and the current one.... Dunno if the animators are portraying that ichigo has slightly more control over hollow ichigo or wat...
