I am currently 19yrs old and i am looking to obtain a driving license(auto car). wad are the first steps i should take to getting started on the path to obtaining that licence?

Also, I am curretly one month away from ns enlistment and would wish to complete the basic theory during tis month and than move on to the advanced theory and practicals after i ord... would that be possible, to split up the entire course in such a way?

thanks for viewing...

erm check out the dates for theory test... if its possible... take it before you enlist.

If cant, then wait till you are able to book out, during the weekends take the theory test and proceed to your driving lessons...

iirc you will be able to obtain a safra card, and this card entitles you discounts when taking your driving from cdc...

Dude why auto only? They may come a time when you need to use a manual car in an emergency.

Its hard to learn driving while in the army, it all depends on which unit you go to. I was able to complete my driving lessons and tests but I was in a 8 - 5 job.

im intending to complete my btt first b4 enlistment and then continue with the practical and ftt after ord... jus wondering if its possible to complete the btt in 1 month if i cram in the classes?

anyways on the point abt auto, i don't intend to drive a taxi or a race car so call me pussy or wad, will just like to settle for smthing simple and easy to learn and use...

True, depends where you go, I heard that most cars in Europe are manual cars, ie rental cars.

oh haha actually ive yet to make a decision on whether to do auto or manual but my heart's currently with auto... however since i don't know much abt motoring yet, maybe i'll change my mind in the near future as i gain more knowledge and learn from experienced ppl... anyways thanks lots guys for the invaluable input and advice, i will be heading down to ssdc to find out more and perhaps start on my journey to getting that license
