anyway just being curious.. i reckon this is the last of batman ? since this is the very 1st episode.. i hate movies being done like how star wars is, in terms of its prequel and sequel being shuffled

the guy mentioned that he might do another batman movie but only if the script is very true to the comics..dark as it shud be and not cartoony like the 2nd and 3rd movie onwards.

Just watched the movie at Great World City....Not bad i would say, but the story kinda conflicts with the Batman movie in 1989.

This Batman is true to the origin, with some nitpicking of course; Love the way the dark knight gets portrayed now, definetely more true to the original comic storyline:

I have to agree whole heartedly on this. I loved the way the director showed us the inner sanctum of batman and how he thinks and how he came to be. Very much in line with the comic series. If i had to nitpick, the fight scenes are too blurred out and fast. Perhaps a testament to his fighting speed but i get a feeling that im missing out on seeing his moves. I really wish that this director and christian bale would continue making batman.
PS. The tumbler really kicked ass!

Yeah at least the batmobile or bat tank is not some glamorised angine with big afterburn, really can feel the speed and power of it, Other pick is Ra´s Al Ghul is one though SOB in the comic and he ain't japanese but middle eastern. Would love Nolan to reintroduce the Joker, make him a proper villain to match the Dark Knight

The movie was soooo good! Watched it last nite. Stays true to the Batman Year One comic. That part when he jumped down the stairwell with the bats was straight out of the comics!! Good stuff man, hope they keep up with the good writing for the next movie.

I think there is another one planned as Christian Bale and Chris Nolan signed up for a sequel liao. Also the ending gave away the villain of the next installment :)

**spoilers**
Watched Batman Begins last night with my family. My elder brother and I agreed it's the best Batman yet but then I don't have much of an impression about the others, was too scared by Joker and Penguin at first then later sequels, can barely remember the story.
Christian Bale is quite striking lookswise, still think his lips are a bit too thin for batman. You can see his cheekbones even with the mask on though so kudos for that :D.
It's dark but not scary and that's what I like about it. Love the humour, Michael Caine is excellent as the butler.. "What's the point of doing so many push-ups if you can't even lift a log!"
Watching how the technology comes about is really cool, the bad guy is cool even though the story is still far-fetched but Liam Neeson's good acting stops it from being cheesy.
Think Bruce Wayne could have made up a dozen other excuses besides insulting his father's friends to get them to leave the mansion..durr but the page 8 headline saved it "Drunken Billionaire Burns Down Mansion" haha
Didn't understand what the DA Rachel was talking about at the end about the mask thing.
Did anyone else think the Scarecrow doctor looked like he had a lot of plastic surgery, his skin looked so shiny and plastic? One of my brothers said "Hey, he looks like Michael Jackson".
Yeah fight scenes were fast, overall ok. If they'd slowed down a few bits would have been better so you could be more into the power behind batman's blows. I think partly it looked so fast because they shot those scenes very close-up so you couldn't really see what was what, makes you feel like they're scuffling in the dark more.

cant'ya see the way the movie ended.. it was as if he dont even know who joker is.. so it would'nt be a Come-back of joker after he was caputured etc for sure ? unless they wish to remake it ? which i doubt they'd..

Definitely the BEST!! Actually, the movie was meant to be dark and batman as a scary guy. The previous movies showed him to be some kind of people's hero. The comics, however, show that he's supposed to be terrifying, even to non-criminals. Also, Bruce Wayne maintained his cover because he acted like a childish rich boy. No one would believe a spoilt billionare could be batman!

Why is it that Batman ALWAYS has to let the love interest know his secret identity in the movies? I mean, WTF? Whats the point of dressing up all black and tell the chick that he's Batman in the end?

:laugh5: A flaw or a deliberate attempt to have Batman in the movies to have some sort of love life? Well you know what some say, sex sells.
I don't think the later batman movies can give that gothic darkness though. That is Tim Burton's Speciality. But they were also good movies before the third and fourth movie appeared. Now that went down hill.
I preferred the first two batmobiles. Those are prime-time mobiles. But the latest batmobile was being referred to a tank in the movie.
Now would they make a new sequel featuring clayface ?
