Jolin Tsai, Jay Chou top music awards
BEIJING - Taiwanese pop stars Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai ruled at the Music Radio awards in China last Saturday, where they were named the top-selling male and female singers.
All eyes were on the former couple at the ceremony, after Chou said he would say hi if he bumped into Tsai and she said she did not mind posing for a photo with him, Apple Daily reported.
But at the show, they stayed out of each other's way ultimately, the report said.
Just last month, Tsai gave her side of the story about the couple's break-up in 2005. She said he had denied hooking up with TV host Patty Hou, when she first asked him about the rumours.
After photos of Chou and Hou canoodling in Tokyo were published, 'he still told me that was a group photo that everyone wanted them to take', said Tsai.
Last Saturday, Hong Kong's Eason Chan won for Best Male Singer at the ceremony while Taiwan's Angela Chang was named Best Female Singer.
Taiwanese girl group S.H.E bagged awards for Best Group and Most Popular Group.
