Downloading/Distributing of Gundam Seed Destiny SUBBED version is illegal for GSD has already been licensed by Bandai quite some time back. I think it is around the same time when Bandai licensed GS. But who cares....download to ur fullest....hahahha...they would normally stop the source (which are the fansubs) but seldom come hunt down the leechers (which are us). As u can see...animesuki has stop listing the release of GSD for it is a strictly non-licensed anime torrent page. But u still can get em in baka-updates. There's another link call tokyotosho and it has fast releases too. Manga, anime, hentai, OSTs...blah blah blah. I think it was the old mircx torrent site...so maybe those who need fast releases can try out there.

For me...I normally camp at the fansub's channel to get the fast releases...when my 10mbit come...gonna join em as distro and get the releases even earlier. >=]

Strike Freedom came out with a BANG. nice dragoon system....would like to see 2 dragoon system fight....Rey vs Kira. Wonder when will athrun get his Infinite Justice though.

IMHO, i would recommend u to jump straight to Gundam Seed, it will better coz u won't have any reference to the old Gundam & it'll just feel fresh, not a recycled story & tech terms.

Dun worry, u will get hooked in no time. After that, u may start getting curious about the older Gundam stories, u can check out:
- Gundam Wing + Endless Waltz

Universal Century, this one its recommended to watch from the very early Gundam to follow the story. But they are already damn retro, haha...:blah:
- Gundam
- Gundam: The 08th MS Team
- Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
- Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory

Episode 40 Raw plot spoilers

1. Lunamaria, Rey and Shin were awarded special medals for their contributions in Heaven's Base assault. Rey and Shin are also made into members of FAITH.

2. Information leak revealed that Djibril is hiding in ORB. Dullindal wastes no time to send ZAFT troops to "liberate" ORB. Yuna made a stupid announcement only to enforce ZAFT troops' determination to take down LOGOS in ORB.

3. Despite ORB troops' preparation, they are easily overwhelmed. Archangel can't move out. Eternal hasn't descended yet. Cagali then wanted to sortie out. The Archangel crew hesitated at first but eventually Cagali was shown the heritage that her late father had left for her. Cagali sorties out in Akatsuki along with the remaining murasames to defend ORB.

4. LOL that bitch Yuna sounded all a little too happy to hear Cagali broadcasting on her Akatsuki when he didn't in episode 20++ when Cagali tried to tell ORB troops to pull back. Cagali then assume overall control of ORB and her subordinates happily subdue YUNA :D( he deserve it!!!!). Despite this, ZAFT isn't backing off and keeps on coming. ( Of course, Dullindal plans to ruin ORB anyway).

5. Shin sorties out first without authorisation!! But he has the right to do so as a FAITH member( Dullindal's way to say, " Let this doll... i mean soldier do whatever he feels is right for the cause of ZAFT , YAY! ). It's clear that he still hasn't forgotten Cagali's crappy ideals that has gotten his sister killed ( His whole family were killed by a random shell explosion... but only scenes of his sister's hand?. humm... Oneechan/Imouto complex he he he he. ) After being informed that Shin is coming... SEED/DESTINY follow-up rumors

The following blog has a report/dialog between a customer, store owner, and a Bandai staff member during a Bakuseed (miniature electric motor car) tournament. That, of course, makes this report hearsay but still of interest as far as possible commentary on the state of Gundam at the moment goes:

The Bandai staff member commented that currently DESTINY as a series is unpopular with ratings on a downward trend (see below for that) and merchandise not selling well including Gunpla (something also mentioned at Plamoya-san's Useless Diary). The store owner adds that Bakuseed is outselling Gunpla at his store. The conversation switches to a possible sequel after the customer said "I guess no sequel then. Wanted to see one." The Bandai staff replied that they are currently exploring the idea of another SEED sequel which will again feature Kira and Athrun, concluding a SEED trilogy. The ending of DESTINY will be made so a possibility of sequel can occur. If it were to happen, they won't be doing it until after next year as time slots are all filled up for the 2006-2007 lineup. It is currently set as a trilogy, however more sequels will be made if proven popular.

Ratings are down compared to the first SEED (averaging 5.2% currently), though still better than the 90's Gundams on average. But from another perspective, things look worse when you compare it to the numbers for past MBS shows in the same timeslot (righthand column figures) as DESTINY will have to fight uphill to not wind up with the lowest average ratings.

Due to the tremedous heat output of the F91, it uses 2 methods to remove the heat by either through the finned heatsinks on its shoulders or... shedding the outmost layer of heated armor on it, causing a after-image movement.

As for Destiny, despite having a newer neutron jammer canceller device than the former Freedom/Justice and the recent Strike Freedom/Infinite Justice, it doesn't seem to move faster than them. Also it's said while Legend also has it, only Shin is able to utlitize it while in Seed Mode. But otherwise, the mobile suits that carry the neutron jammer cancellers have 4x more power output than the regular ones ( according to Kira in Seed Episode 35 )

The conclusion is set to be quite a climax, but I am surprised that they put in another recap episode so close to the end... Anyway, I read to spoilers and it looks like GSD should end on an exciting note...

It's just odd how many of us might have thought that the chairman was a good guy at first.... but now think he is evil. Personally, I'm still on the fence over that topic. It seems like both sides have their own ideas on how the war should be, but that the Chairman's ideas on world order are a little too extreme.

His planned use of the Requiem for his own offensive purposes also leads one to ask what his conscience is... He does not ask them to be destroyed because he wants to use them for himself. That is probably the crisis of the series, and why AA will head out to destroy the relay colonies and why Minerva will intercept them. Supposedly, Shinn and Luna both feel uneasy about the chairman's announcement... but Rey manages to convince Shinn that it is still the right path. That's why they head out to stop the AA when the AA goes to destroy the relay stations. Basically, it's another battle to stop a superweapon... The final ep will also provide the answer to Rey's origins and how Kira supposedly links into this... Ever noticed how Kira has those newtype flashes?...

I only hope that the spoilers I read are accurate - they should be... but after translation... you never know...

1.) Something like that 5min 'After Phase' OVA during the end of GS?
2.) A full length OVA summarising the entire GSD story? (BTW, GS has a 3-part OVA which summarises the entire 50 eps.)
3.) A full length OVA showing the events after GSD?

Answer...currently no news of any of the above. However there's rumours of another GS-series taking place after GSD. Summing up the entire story about the fight between Naturals and Coordinators. (Think of it as an anime trilogy) Likely to be screen during june/oct of 2006-2007.

As i said, just rumours...so take it lightly.

The ending for GSD was not terrible, but it lacked the kind of anihilation of the Final Phase for Gundam Seed. - What? Only 3 key characters died? And the fights between the major MS were all a bit truncated and seemed a little 1 sided. All in all, it's amazing to think how fast the year went by - think about it - 50 Eps - that's 50 weeks - a pretty long span :) almost 1 year :)

I've heard rumours of the OVA - but it's almost certain to come out. Fukada left a lot of holes unplugged when he finished Phase 50 - what happend to everyone after the battle and what did it solve???
- It will probably come out as a single 20 min ep or maybe a special double ep? It's funny how people didn't seem as happy at the end of this episode as they were for GS... where are the tears of happiness etc? And Cagalli was virtually invisible for the final phase - not sure why she was underused...

Anyway, the OVA should tie up most of the loose ends and leave some opening for the sequel that will be coming soonish. - probably to replace BloodTV+?

I've got one side issue though - Gundam Seed had more more soundtracks and more MEMORABLE sountracks than Destiny - I'm not sure why they didn't see it fit to get more licenses or enlist more songwriters and tracks for Destiny...

Still - High and Mighty Color's song (Pride) was the standout track for me - What about you guys? What did you think of the soundtrack and which was your fave tune?

this last episode was abit too one sided. Strike Freedom was left unscratched at the end with not a single DRAGOON destroyed whereas at least athruns pack was sacrificed to destroy requiem.

I agree it was an abrupt ending and it kinda sucked compared to GS but having Dullindal dead is enough for me :)

I got one question to ask though, Rey said that Talia was his mother but if i recall correctly, there was a picture of Talia and a boy who looks completly diff from Rey. Are they 2 diff ppl?

Kira is definitely the most skillful pilot, a master in Seed mode...no one can be as fast & accurate as him in disabling multiple enemies, altho Mwu is a close contender with his Akatsuki. see how Kira evades Legend's dragoon easily...to compliment his skill, S.Freedom is also way faster & too powerful...:hat1:
Athrun, OTOH, is a veteran pilot who's almost the same level as Kira & years beyond Shinn...add to tat I.Justice is just insane in melee...:Samurai2:

Kira have knowledge of programming and writting os for robots, he definately tweak the strike settings make it more precise and agile, improve the os firing solutions , maybe oc the cpu ,lol.
Anyway, i think the sequel might have a new star coordinator maybe CAptain talia's son. Kira and Athrun definatly will appear. Just hope no more recycled frames/slides.:D:D
