See how gilat you want it to be, and to what extent you want it seasoned at your own inconvenience.

What i did for my main one .... everyday i will wear, and keep pulling till i'm satisfied with the beret. [Mostly a little slack on the left side for some 'hair space'] Every night i'll put it under my bunk bed and go to sleep.

I trimmed out the inner layer so it isn't smelly as well as easier to season.

After your beret has the basic shape, then just keep it under a PC or many books for around 2 days at least, so you can see the defined line. From then on just season by placing under the bunk mattress [if you even have a bunk la] and taking it out. Over 1-2 months your beret will be seasoned fully. Then don't need to press it that often as the shape will not be lost easily.

trust me its all worth it. the 2 hours parade would be the best time of your life. but of cuz, the 4 weeks afte that to get the khaki beret is a freaking hell. i would say its even worse than the 9 months of ocs. perhaps only the jcc would be tougher than that.

3 mths under the bed. make sure you put it in between some papers or cardboard unless you want your beret to look like a waffle :D

still remember the time I and buddy used our mattresses as a giant iron (lol) to press our parade uniforms :D

Desperate times call for desperate measures
