Mariah Carey weds boyfriend of 1 month

CHART-TOPPING singer Mariah Carey has married again. This time, the 38-year-old songstress tied the knot with her 27-year-old boyfriend of one month.
In a move that shocked her friends and family, Carey married Nick Cannon, a TV actor, on Thursday at the home Carey just bought in Eleuthera, the Bahamas.
'They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks,' a friend told The New York Post. 'And she's always had a crush on him.'
Latina magazine reported that Carey said 'I do' in front of a handful of friends, including longtime friend and rapper Da Brat.
At the Tribeca Film Festival a few days ago, she was seen with Cannon on her arm and a 'huge, jewel-encrusted diamond ring' on herfinger, reported NY Daily News.
Her diamond ring was said to bear a striking resemblance to the one Cannon gave then-fiancee and Victoria Secret's model Selita Ebanks last year.
After the film festival, TV show Access Hollywood reported sources close to Carey as confirming that the pair hadengaged.
The pair met when Cannon directed the video for Carey's new single 'Bye Bye'. Soon, they fell in love. A source told Us Weekly that their courtship was 'hot and heavy.'
Last month, they were seen having a romantic night out in Las Vegas.
It's the second marriage for Carey, who walked down the aisle first with record kingpin Tommy Mottola. They divorced in 1998 after five years.
MODEL EX-FIANCEE
Cannon was linked to Ebanks last year. He had proposed to her via a jumbotron - a gigantic display screen - at Times Square. But the couple broke up five months later.
When asked what he loved about Carey, Cannon reportedly cooed'everything.'
Cannon told MTV News this week, '(Carey is) probably the most festive, remarkable person I've ever met.'
Carey's friend told The Post: 'Everyone is happy to see her happy.
'And it could work out - some people know each other for five years and get divorced, maybe this is true instant love.'
When contacted, Ebanks told Us Weekly: 'I have no comment but wish them well.'
Carey's last romance lasted for about three years. She had also publicly confessed she was fine with not having children.
It's certainly happy times for Carey these days. She beat Elvis in the amount of No1 hits on the Billboard charts recently. Her 'Touch My Body' was hit number 18 for her.
