like LOTR, hitchhiker, star wars, war of teh worlds etc which have books published... do you read the book first then watch the movie, or vice versa, or just watch movie, or just read?
no poll here cos i think it differs for each movie... for me at least.
(btw i know star wars book is written based on movie, just take it that it fits into the category.)
personally i read the books first before going to teh screen... i find that i understand the movie better and i can appreciate the special efx, the plot changes etc better.

for me:

y read liaoz then go watch or watch liaoz then read.. then it will be wasting 2x the time to know a single story right? :laugh5:

watch first then read, unless i've already read the book before of course then bo pianz http://www.vrforums.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

reason is that I find it hard to enjoy a movie in its own right after I've enjoyed the book. usually if i like the book version, i get damn dulan when the screenplay isn't faithful to that version. But if I enjoyed a movie, then rush out and buy the book, i can fill in the bits I didn't understand and after that still can rewatch the movie and enjoy afresh http://www.vrforums.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gifhttp://www.vrforums.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

i no $ to watch again. so usually i read first to get a grasp of what's happening. then i watch the movie, can appreciate it like i said. like for star wars 3... the plot is like soooo obvious...
