i voted independence day and armaggedon... to me each was the yardstick of their time...

Didn't heard of the core. Didn't watch it.
The day after tomorrow was pretty close to topping it.
HG2G to me is not a world destruction movie. More of a tour around the galaxy movie.
War of the worlds: Plenty of meat. But the ending just wasn't strong enough for the big league.

Personal view is Armageddon. think its the most touching.
not to mention Liv Taylor and the Superb Song by Aerosmith "I don't want to miss a thing"
did i get any facts wrong.
btw Aerosmith has been singing for decades and this is their first song to hit the Top Spot on the Hits chart , one and only.
