You would need time to pack and buy stuff that you will need. Generally, nothing much to prepare unless u want to spend more time with family before you enlist. 1 week is about adequate.

what kind of job? if its 8 to 5 kind of things.. you can just start exercising regularly after work..

personally when it was mine back then, i worked the entire mth of august before going for my enlistment in sept too.. hahaha it didnt really affect me much cos i still find time to spend with my friends, family and go to the gym and such =)

if that is the case, you can try and get use to "army" work time.. wake up early around 5-6am, go for a short run or what and then have early breakfast. that way, you can train eating breakfast and doing 5BX early in the morning.. but if 12 hrs per day, hmmm if i were you, lol i quit by start of August.. give myself 1 mth to do the necessary shopping and preparation.
