no charger only for the 3 months of BMT in tekong... after that most units allow chargers...

for cheap phones just go see all those adverts stating "No Contract" and below $100 lor... most places can get liao, even guardian pharmacy got sell some LG one for $60...

No need durable all la. You wont be bringing it for outfield. lmao. :P It'll be in your locker most of the time. Safe and snug.

For me I got a 2nd hand SE M600i, 2 batteries. As long as I dont make long calls it works fine. Stick to SMS mostly. Wanna make long calls then get something like a Nokia 6610 or even an old non-colour phone. Those the battery lasts super long. Or just bring 2 phones, but check if your coy allows it. Some are really stupid and dont allow 2 phones for some dumb reason. Mine didnt, but I just smuggle in anyway =/ lol. One old one for calls(Panasonic GD92) and my M600i for SMS and most other usage including bookout time since I wont be caught dead with an ancient phone in a club or something lol.

You can consider SE W950i also if you want a nice loooking PDA type smart phone and want to buy new since M600i is out of production.

Depends on where your NS is lah. NS is not an organisation, it is a service to an organisation.. It other words people go to totally different places for NS (Ministry of Defence or Ministry of Home Affairs etc)

SAF (Army/Airforce etc)- No camera phones allowed
Home Team (Police/Civil Defence etc)- Camera phones allowed
