Imagine
In My Life
Across the universe
I'm only sleeping
Woman
Beautiful boy
Jealous guy...
way too many to name actually... such was his talent. Still enjoying the fact he wrote I am a Walrus as a challenge/prank.

Paul was very good too,
Hey Jude
Eleanor Rigby
The long and winding road
When I am sixty four (my wife loves this)
Got To Get You Into My Life...

George,
Something (just too beautiful a love dedication)
Here comes the sun
btw, he is the one who wrote Don't bother me
click (http://www.iamthebeatles.com/article1138.html)
My Sweet Lord (there is a real rocking cover performance of this on the Concert For George DVD)

Ringo,
With A Little Help From My Friends
Photograph (written with George)

If Bob Dylan's works are uni topic, Beatles' should have the same recognition too.
George's talent was real understated or he was not given the same opportunities as Lennon/McCartney?
Ringo we all know he was to top up the jiwsaw. Ya Photograph was one of those US 40 in the early 70's we played alot in parties.
Talking about parties, we loved to play Let It Be or Hey Jude when it was about to finish the party. Most guys must have spotted and succeeded to hold on to their gals that afternoon/night. Slow four and big hug some more. Shiok man (boys lah).

I was watching the Beatles Anthology DVDs just now and remembered the Beatles cartoons which aried around the early 80s in Singapore, anyone remembers those? Wonder if I can get hold of them locally.

My kids love the Yellow Submarine DVD (1968) too.

The Japanese TV drama Pride uses Queen's I Was Born To Love You as the opening and closing themes. Seems like not the same original by Freddie Merurcy in solo act. Shiok.

Agree! Most people now prefers those kind of no substance upbeat songs where the singer just scream like a mad doggie.

I would prefer oldies, classics, instrumental compared to those songs.
Makes me feel as if I am 91 years old this year, while I am actually only 19 this year

Found this page which takes a few cuts from the Anthology DVD, it explains the origin of the Lennon song, A Day in the Life. btw, you will need the QT plug in and a little patience for the clips to load.

When I was small I didn't have turntable nor cassette deck except radio. Some more it was my neighbour's next door. He was whistling while his radio broadcasting dis hot hit. He was wearing those teddy boy shirt, pants ,socks n boots. I was drooling. sei fei zai. :laugh5: Yes that was I started my love for Beatles, the greatest band in history. I even argued with my music teacher that we should practice some Lennon/McCartney compositions in class instead of those hymns or Sound of Music the most. :laugh5:
