Shuffle!

is an anime about Tsuchimi Rin. The story revolves around Rin, a student, and his life in the classroom. Having lost his parents years ago, he has been living with his childhood friend, Keada, and she has been taking care of him since then. Meanwhile, they are teased constantly on being a couple due to their closeness (while they are not) altho this Rin lives life with neither passion nor purpose. Most of the story is about their life in school until the appearance of 2 exchange students. History is that 10 years ago, the world of human, gods and devils has been unified and residents are free to transit between these worlds. The sudden appearance of these 2 exchange students is to serve a purpose: They each are daughters of the god world king and demon world king and are both there to make Rin choose between either of them. So in a blink of an eye, Rin suddenly has the power to choose the route to become either the future god world king or demon world king.

End of epi-01.

Looks promising thus far in the first episode, awaiting a few more epis to be released before passing judgement.

Plot Summary: When two doors are discovered in an ancient ruin, the gateways to shinkai, the realm of the shinzoku (Gods) and makai, the realm of the mazoku (Demons) are irreversably opened. The races of human, shinzoku, and mazoku come together in the mortal world and nothing will ever be the same. One day, two new families move next door to a boy who had previously been living a very peaceful life. In one house lived the family of the King of the Gods, and in the other lived the family of the King of the Demons. Both families had one daughter whose single wish to live next to the boy they had fallen in love with years ago has just been fulfilled. Also living with the boy is his childhood friend. With these three girls vying for his affections, the boy finds that his new life filled with despair, jealousy, and just a little hope is beginning.

I just watched Ep 01 earlier on and I loved it..
It just reminded me of Da Capo..and being a huge fan of Da Capo, I fell in love with Shuffle! immediately.

One thing I didn't like though..was that every single one of them girls had this super squeky voice..

Btw Harem anime - shows built around the theme of one young man living with or surrounded by several young women. (The theme also works when the gender roles are reversed.)

This japan summer release seems to have lots of anime in this catergory.
eg 1) Da Capo
2) Shuffle!

Hmm...a new word to me...time to add it into my dictionary.
Anyways...the genre of anime are not really that wide at the moment....it juz revolves around romance, mech, comedy, drama, ecchi, harem, sci-fi....and anything else? So....soon...the type of genre of anime we see in future will be like a repeat until fresh new genres of series are born.
