About Dave Teo Ming's rank. Discrepancy?

The recently charged National Serviceman, Dave Teo Ming, possesses a CPL rank.

I read in the The New Paper dated 8 July 2008, that he dropped out of Secondary 3.

I thought CPL ranks are only assigned to Poly or JC graduates?

Out Of Training, from BMT due to injuries / medical resons, then keep on failing FFI. But after ORD, reservist still must go Tekong :cool:

yes, my friend. Downgraded to PES C, but each time called up for re-course, he failed his FFI. He wanted to do his re-course, but denied because he was told he won't survive there -____-||

For recruit to complete BMT, you need to complete 3 of the requirements, 24km route march, pass IPPT, range or fieldcamp if I am not wrong. This way won't need to go for recourse liao. Even for those kena out-of-course, as long as got fulfill the 3 requirements then no need recourse.

I never cleared IPPT but still pass out. No recourse (maybe cuz I passed in my unit later)

That's why I said 3 of the requirements. As long as you pass in your unit, you don't have to come back Tekong for recourse. Fieldcamp, Range and IPPT attempt will be enough for them to pass out from Tekong. Some things can close one eye also. :D

no pass IPPT in BMT is considered "attended BMT", no need recourse FYI...

Pes C BMT is modified and shorter stay.

Exempted from IPPT, no 24km route march, no range, no field camp. And I passed BMT and ORDed as CPL. :hat1:

I will most probably ORDed this Sept with a LCP rank, haiz in armour unit what to do?

Had to pass IPPT(which i haven do) and SOC for 2nd year soldier.


My fellow medic mate ORDed this June as a Private :(

i orded only last year. at the end of the day, it depends on whether your unit wants to promote you. my whole branch full of pes b/c who never completed bmt, got one guy my exboss see him damn up and he orded a cfc.
