Xi Men Ding, Shi Lin Night Market, Dan Shui + Yu Ren Ma Tou, Jiu Fen...
places which I din visit but recommended: Bei Tou (for hot springs), Wu Fen Pu (wholesale market for clothes & stuff)
how to get there:
Xi Men Ding: Ximen MRT station
Shi Lin: Jian Tan MRT station
Dan Shui + Fisherman's Wharf : Dan Shui MRT station. To get to Fisherman's Wharf, you get take a red shuttle bus (directions on where to board the bus, are given at the station) or ferry (NT40 per ferry trip)
Jiu Fen: Take bus to Keelung from Taipei Main Station. From Keelung, take bus to Jing Gua Shi to get to Jiu Fen.
Wu Fen Pu: Hou Shan Pi MRT station
Tip: if you plan to use the MRT frequently get a normal adult ticket... the same ticket is also used for the bus... very much like ur EZ-link... any amount left unused in the ticket can be refunded... the unlimited rides ticket is only valid for a single day so I find it isn't very worth it...
