I last time owned 2 hamster. Small ones but the first one was a male second one female. Actually didn't want to keep pets but my first hamster is given by someone and got intrest so bought a second one. Then now no time to take care so didn't buy liao. Hamster last at the most 2 years only. Very short life... U all want pic? I don't know if I have the digital photos... Cos mostly I used my big camera take one... But i think digital have some mus go dig up my hard disk next round.

Struggle is normal lah...it is the animals natural instinct to survive, he is probably thinking that you are going to eat him :hat1: :hat1: :hat1:

As I say lor, the first step is always the most difficult. Chins are social animals and they actually like to be man handled. Just need more patience, it will not happen over night, but by and by, it will relent.

Don't let it struggle lose, else you will lose respect from the Chin, handle him and give him treat, even letting it bite you once or twice does not matter.

My previous guinea pig (already went to cavy heaven) was a tough challenge, i was bitten by him more than 100 times. Slowly after, he will come and let me pat his head whenever I come near his cage and like me to hold him. I even let him sleep with me sometimes.
