Are u sure u using phone camera?? quality is much better than my Sanyo 3.1mega pixel.

Last time I went was 6 years ago with my course mates. We stayed in a challet and in the middle of the night, I woke up to jog as it was too cold. How stupid I was, actually the was water heater in the toilet and I can just get myself a hot coffee.

I also found a frozen houseflyon the table of a food court. The housefly was cover by ice. Just like when we put dry ice into mousepot. hahahahh. Nice experiences over there.

I like the weather there. Also cool and cloudy. I believe that you can live longer life up there as compared to living in Singapore. Singapore are all man made one. So fake.

for off peak period .. S$400 per person is more than enuff (include bus fare and expenses)

i changed sgd$150. still got left over. there not much things to buy one. shopping the clothes same or more expensive than sg. women shoes are cheap. go there play theme park lor. first day play indoor one, second day play outdoor one. :D

imo, more important to get a spacious coach there, cos the travel time quite long, gotta be comfortable. recommend to get coaches that is 20 seater or less.

Last time I take one not so high class. But mine 25 seater lucky not full then i change place as I like... But my hotel siao one lor.. Also first hotel then the electric plug got sound come out one. I don't even dare on TV. Toilet is so small... Not going to that hotel anymore, is last time full then no choice go there. I stay 2 nights somemore lor. I play from day to night. Night go theme park and second night go bowling. 11pm then go room. Must try to stay away from the scary room as long as i can

The last time I went, I took a cab from KL (RM$42) with my wife and mother-in-law. It was 11pm when we started, alot of road lamps were actually switched off. The taxi driver was driving at 110 uphill and was cornering at 60 (the Genting 180 degree turn). I swore on a few occassions, I saw the city lights over the ledge when he did his cornering.

I thought it was fun. My wife and her mum thought we wouldn't have lived through the night. But all well forgetten when they made about 2000 off the roulette at 3am.

Inside tower 2, there isnt any thing for boiling water. But there is one water jar for u all to fill up water along the corridors. The water is good enough for babies. Maybe u all can bring a hot water flask(a small one will do) along. It will do good.

Through personal experience, I do not like the service in first world..... If u wanna test their service, try calling for an attendent using the room phone. (very bad, it's true)

Also, try drawing the curtains..... you will see opposite room with no people inside.... it's so eerie..... (hehehe....maybe u will see someother things?)

Btw, i just came back from Genting on 12 Dec 2008. It was super crowded. Everything have to queue. For theme park rides have to queue between half an hour to 2 hours. Avoid the peak period (school holidays) if you could.

Stayed at Resort Hotel. Room was renovated. Everything was changed from carpet to toilet. Very nice. There are kettle, coffee and tea making facilities and electronic safe in the room.

The superior and deluxe rooms at First World Hotel are very small. Could not place any extra bed. Could only accomodate 2 pax. Unless 3 of you want to squeeze into 1 bed or book for other category of the rooms.

For your convenient, you could book from the tour agency from singapore for the coach and accomodation - Five stars, WTS, Transtar, Grassland and etc.


But I wouldn't advise you going during school holidays, it is superpeak, very very crowded. Everything have to queue. I queued between half and hour to two hours for the indoor theme park ride. It was raining non-stop and very cold during my 3 days there (10-12 Dec).

totally agree! i was at RESORT HOTEL 10-12 Jan. Comfortable new rooms! One of the best thing was the free wifi internet access at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf right at the lobby and it's open 24hrs during Fri & Sat, a God-send for techies like some of you! For non-gamblers like myself, hanging out at the cafe, sipping latte, eating your fav dessert & surfing the net aimlessly was extremely enjoyable! :D

Note: Resort Hotel is right between Genting/Highland Hotel and First World so that makes access to either hotels easy too!
