Went with Contiki tours.

We stayed in a Hotel on the mountains near Lucerne.

Very nice. If possible, try to find those hotels that are on the Alps. You won't regret it.

swiss made chocolate are dirt cheap. $0.80 for a big bar. more wu hua than cadbury!

i went to bern. the night scenery is absolutely lovely. i went to luzern and zurich too. also went up this mountain (the highest point in switzerland, so called la).

oh yah, something to ponder about. the many years of neutrality the swiss maintained, the thing they came up with, was the world's biggest cuckoo clock. hah hah hah. :confused3

The one place you should visit, is Interlakern.

Its between 2 lakes, and is the base to Yung Frau (the highest point reachable by transport in Europe).

You can stay in Balmer's Auberg.

Its a cool 10 years since I was there, but I can still vividly remember the place.

Lausanne is another place to go, can go visit the Olympic Museum, and around the lake.

The hotels are not cheap in Lucern. I stayed overnight for 2 nights in the trains station as my friend and I ran out of funds for hotel.

the alps are a MUST to go , natural untainted scenery is astoundingly superb , makes u gape in amazement at the beauty of the country with its own tinge of character :) finding a good spot to take in the majestic view is a MUST , the rocky outbursts of the land ... and the depths of the corresponding valleys ... beyond words :hat1: she'll have to see it for herself

in zurich , ibis hotel worked for us:) dont expect 5 start facilities , but u can look forward to 5star service. close to city central easy to get anywhere

in luzern , do check out kurhotel sonmat , excellent water front hotel (not really , but offers an excellent view of the lake) its not smack right-centre of the city hence transportation is required to get into the shopping-district :P
this place is well remembered for its serenity and tranquility... most certainly the view at night sipping wine by the balcony watching the lights reflect off the lake ...

in geneva , hotel ramada ! :hat1:
