Shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What reason those oils company going to give? The usual lame reasons-
-It been too too long we did not increase our pump price evert he oil price has gone up
-The amrket forrces force us to increase
-We increase coz others are increasing <-----this is too lame
Retail pump price are affected by a basket of factors including internationally-traded wholesale product prices for motor gasoline and diesel; storage, distribution and marketing costs; taxes; duties; and currency exchange rates. This increase in pump prices is primarily due to high crude oil and wholesale product prices.
USD is down
Oil is stable at USD60 per barrel
What reason now?

So what u all intend to do? Stock up petrol for your car when the price is cheaper so if it increase again then u use your backup one ar? If u want to own car then i feel u must be willing to pay for maintainence costs lah. Or else change to weekend car lor. Save road tax and drive less save more on petrol.
Best take bus. But bus and MRT also got fare increase

it easy to count.
If half of our nation go pump at the same time and each of us pump 30L, this will be like
2000000 x 30L x $0.06 = $3600000 / 5 brand = S$720000 per brand will earn.
This is only the figure on the increase of the extra 6cents

Grumbling abt price increase in petrol doesn't mean we not willing to pay for the maintainence cost. Same goes to those taking public transport, like dat time say wanna increase bus n mrt fare, the moment newspaper put up the news, so many pple complain this n that :)
If u r those super rich, i rest my case. In singapore only the rich gets richer. Where else the poor gets poorer.

No lah just speaking out from my mind :D
back to the price increase. Actually 98 @ 1.817 without discount is the highest i ever seen (being a biker previously) but after 6%/7% iirc for station discount = 1.7/1.69 respectively. I'm sure many motorist would have a dbs mobil card or citibank dividend card which could add up to almost 10% discount for petrol so i guess still bearable for some of us. But wat i afraid most is if one day they remove the station discount? :rolleyes1
for my "soon to be" car full tank 43litres = 78bucks wah going to be a killer if 1 month need to pump 4 times....
and btw so far no representative from any petrol company give any reason for the price increase too.... at least give some lame excuse i hear liao oso can take it haha

I guess most of Singaporean are numb to all these unreasonable hike coz all we will get are lame reasons even a toad would able to think of it.
Don't even think about CASE, there's nothng they can do..they can rally us to boycott the oil companies, I think they are quite powerless else they would have stnd up and said something coz I believe there are workers in CASE that drive and need to pump petrol.
Bottomline, if our gov allow all this happen, it will happen again & again.
