3) There's only 4 types of hammies which they have (pearlww(holland), nww(local), yellow puddings (holland), white faced robos(holland)) and 2 types of guniea pigs. accessories for hammies, rabiits and gunieas but not as many types as sn or marine parade. shops isnt tt big u see. still have many kinds of doggie stuff. sell shamppo, baxtor lab hammie stuff, powder etc. some jap stuff for hammies like bath sand, bath unit, etc. i would say things are priced reasonably good

4) Get there by alighting at city hall mrt..walk thru city link then when u come up at marina sq...go up the first escalator right infront of u when u enter the mall. u should see and find kiddy palace if u get lost. it's just nearby kiddy palace. u cant miss kiddy palance, its huge!

3) Sell very wide range of small animal stuff. saw quite a number of breeds of hammies there. buy my Habitrail stuff from there as cheaper. also sell lots of doggie and cat stuff but no pups and kittens etc. lots of good brands they carry too. and the small crowd makes it a good place to shop. no discounts or sales i guess. Overall nice place to get anything u might need :)

4) city hall free shuttle service every half an hour to Great world. or alight at tiong bahru mrt and take 16.

Hamsters they sell: Seen syrians, robos and WWs. Price I cant really comment.

Alot of different varieties of food, wheels, bottles and beddings for hamsters!

How to get there: Alight at AMK MRT station. Walk straight turn left out of AMK MRT station. Theres a shelter leading all the way to a bus stop. Can take bus services 25, 76, 132, 165 and 74. Take til Serangoon North Ave 2. The buses will pass by a cross-road junction. Stop after the cross-road junction(The place is also like a mini-central with kopi-tiam and ALOT of pet shops!).

The Little Pet Shop

Focuses on small animals (has hammies, rabbits, chinchillas) only - no fish supplies to clutter up the space. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable chap manning the shop, speaks good English, very willing to share insider advice on products (he may even advise you against buying certain items based on feedback that other customers have given him). He gives good prices and may add on discounts on the low prices if you buy more items. I would go there again if I have time (although Serangoon North itself is such a far place for me). Not sure if they do delivery.

It's a small shop just further down the path from Pet Mart (if not mistaken, it's near a hair dressing salon too). Almost easy to miss.

Approach the old friendly lady. Amiable and totally approachable and kind laaa!! She actually accepts rabbits/hamsters abadoned by owners who approach her and she dont reject them!!

Anyway,
if you guys have any nww/sapphire/pearl or whatsoever hamsters babies for sale, can sell or exchange for food. Cos she used to get her hamster supplies at $5 for each ww!! *gasp I mean, obviously if you sell to her, the most like $3 or something so she can earn money.

The shop dont specialise in hamsters but consist of both cats, dogs and hamster accesories and some hamsters (robos, ww, pudding) Shes well equipped with hamster knowledge. Even if youre interested in hammies, can always go chit chat. hehe.

How To Go There: Alight At Boon Lay And Take Bus Service 242, While Riding Look Out For City Harvest Church. Actualy The Bus Stop is Near To CT harvest church. Alight There And Look Out For A CD shop. Opposite Of Prime Supermarket. U Can See Animal Posters Down There. Just Go Up The Stairs And U Are There.

The Prices There Are Not That Constant Some Cheap Some Exp. A Marukan - Hamster House Cost Usualy Cost About $10+. But This Shop Sells It At $6. Look A Runnig Wheel At Another Shop $6. Go This Shop $9. Bought A Ultra Carefresh Beddings At 12.90. But I Get It At $12 The Sis, Auntie Knoes Me. Regular Customer. They Also Sell Chins And Hammies. So Far I Onli See Sapphire And Pearl WW. Dunno Bout The Price Though. The Sis, Untie There Are Quite Friendly

the hammies are being kept in tanks..but it's obvious that the pet shop owner does not clean or wash dese tanks at all...there's pungent smell emitting frm the tanks and eben a hammie suffering frm skin problems, which ish so apparent frm the red patches on its white fur..

though dese hammies are for display oni..i tink it's a bad reflection on the pet shop's ability to truly care for animals..to claim dey are a PET SHOP...oh wells.. =x

NOTE :
A 50 cents CERT has to be purchased for the shuttle bus in and out of Farmart Centre. Do not worry, This SERT can be redeemed on purchases in Farmart Centre.


Farmart is like a one stop centre for all your 'farm needs' with shops for pets,fish,vegetables,fruits etc.

of note is E Pets Stop which sells small animals and accessories. Fins Palace also deal with hamsters. There is even educational farm tours which include GETTING IN TOUCH WITH LITTLE CREATURES

For those living near Ang Mo Kio, I have a couple of places to recommend:

Both these shops are side by side and I think you can find almost anything here.

Fish Fairy Aquarium
Blk 347 #01-2124 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3
opening hours: Monday to sat: 10 am to 9.30 pm
Sunday & Public Holiday: 10am to 6.30 pm

This shop used to sell exclusively fish but now they have a good range of hamster stuff as well. The shopkeeper and his assistant(wife?) were very helpful. Maybe cos I was the oni customer in the shop at the time. Paid $4 each for Delikate Sticks, $9 for a Minimal Goods egg shaped toilet/sand bath. so u consider whether it is cheap. also sells quite a number of hammies.

Pets Concept
Blk 347 #01-2124 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3

This shop is aircon unlike the first one. Sells rabbits, caveys,chins and hammies. They even have...gasp...boarding service for small animals. Lots of accesories too.

Both are easily accessible from AMK central or from the MRT. About 5 mins walk. Those going to and from SN via AMK can drop in for a look-see.

A little hard to find but good as the one at Serangoon North.

On the subject of The Little Pet Shop, there is also an outlet at Blk 761 Yishun Street 72 #01-348. Reviews say the the lady there is quite the bitch but if you live near there,I think it is about the only shop in the north for hammies. Although you can get some hamster accessories at a few of the pet shops along Sembawang Rd (Alphapets etc) and of course at the Pet Lover's centre at Causeway Point.

Fur Friends and Marine & Pet are both situated at blk 925. Block 925 is sorta like a mini SN with shops dealing in pet stuff.
Both shops sell hammies as well as other small pets. You can also find cages,food and other accesories. They tend to stock mostly imported stuff so a bit pricey. But convenient for those in the Yishun/Sembawang area.

Aqua Star is famous for their fish and fish accesories. But they do stock plastic and glass tanks and all for those you who rather use tanks rather than cages. They also have one unit dealing with miscellaneous stuff including hamster foodstuff and cages. You can also find some hamster accessories here.

Blocks 925 and 934 are within walking distance of each other so if you are looking for stuff it may be worthwhile.

Block 925 is directly connected to the Yishun Bus Interchange via an overhead.
Block 934 can also be seen from the interchange and MRT station. It is just beside the park

it had a lot of stuffs for all types of pets, a variety of beddings, APD hays, a number of Hamster food brands.

Just wish to share with your abt my encounterwith this upmarket pets. Had a bad encounter with the shop. They have attitutude problem. My dog was sent there for grooming & got the ticks from there when they caged her up. Not only that they refuse to admit it. Had to spend $80 to see doctor for detick. They still have the cheek to say they are not going to do my buiness next time to earn my $35.:thumbs_do :beatdown:

I am really quite fedup with them liao. They even threaten to call police. We have not do anything wrong. Just feedback to them that my dog kana the licks when she last did the grooming at their place. My dog suffer from that day onward, did not wnat to eat her meal until we have no choice but to bring her to see the doctor. For nothing $80 is gone. Not that i am asking them to pay for the bill.

If they can treat us like that I dont think they are the type of person who will treat the animal with passion. I am also worried that my dog will suffer under their hand when grooming. I have decided not to bring to them for grooming liao..

There is a shop name aqua pet located in bukit timah plaza(opp. ngee ann) at basement two. (beside guardian)

The pet shop sell all kinds of animal food and accessories. They also provide free delivery for dogs and cats food. (e.g dog, cats, hamster, birds, fish etc.) They prices are reasonable.

They do not sell any pets in the shop because the building dun allow. bud for serangoon and holland v they have quite a no. of pets. But sometimes they will sell hamster secretly. you have to ask them whether they sell hamster or not. if they have they will show you coz they hide it under their desk.

Everytime when you are paying you just have to ask "is there a discount?" they will give you 10% off for regular items.

They have a few branches which is in different name. one is in holland village and the other is in serangoon. bud i do not know the exact location for serangoon.
As for the holland village is above the shop n save. i think someone had already mention it in the list. However, every of their branches sell their things in different prices. Bukit timah branch is the cheapest.

They sell a wide range of chinchillas like violets, silver whites, standard greys and homobeiges. They also sell hamsters but only syrians. Guinea pigs and rabbits as well. Its quite a small shop tho.

They sell hamsters/chins/rabbits foods, treats and vitamins. They also sell mushroom houses for the chins to live in. Cages for hammies, rabbits and chins are also sold there. The ones i like are the acrylic ones but are costlier tho.

Would like to share a bad experience I had there today. A really rude encounter.
It has the rudest owner and worst service anyone can ever find, specifically from the lady owner, Daisy.

I was standing outside the store with my kid brother looking at the rabbit and hamsters on display. My brother, eager to take a closer look, stepped up and placed both his palms flat on the glass wall. Half a minute later, the lady owner stormed out, opened the door and snapped "OEI hello this is not spiderman ok. Can you dun lidat?", rolled her eyes at my brother and went back in. Before I went away, I glanced at her standing far back in the cashier of her store and she put her hand up and tilted her head upwards in such a gesture as if picking a fight.

I admit my brother's actions were not polite. But hers were worse, especially when we didn't even offend her in any way at all, didn't speak nor even look at her impolitely.

Meanwhile you haven't found a near vet clinic around your place, you can feel your hamster with your help, just try to crush and make a small piece of the feeds you give for your hamster ^_^
