Hi
I'm thinking of looking for an economical car with good mileage/fuel consumption and cheap maintenance hopefully.
I dun earn that much and I v chin chye.
Dun care about style, crampness, engine power, or passenger/driver comfort.Gonna drive around q often, prob about 500km-600km per month approx, coz of job.
My driving pattern is generally slow and smooth.
Where should i start, and what are more critical factors/specs I should look at?
Also, seems I can't find stats on fuel effiency on diff models easily. Prob coz hard to test.Anyone has any car recommendations? Thanks

2) monthly u able to pay how much?
3) refer to this thread (http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=60453) there got links for second hand car, informations on PI
4) usually for second hand car if possible try to source for repossess car. Else find those mileage vs age of car as low as possible.

suzuki swift/liana
hyundai accent.
remember to check the ncap rating of your car at the euroncap site. chin chye space and stuff is ok, dont chin chye safety. you never know when a lady driver in a x5/volvo is gonna ram you.

if budget allow, get a mid-end continental car or new jap cars... if not, get economic car to save FC.. like vios, altis, fit/jazz blah blah (tons of them on the road).. try to avoid korean and malaysia cars unless u have tight budget (i hate to say this but they never improve)
