I printed the map of the skytrain of bangkok last time when i was there about 2 years back. Printed everything basically like hotel location, shopping centre which i found online.

Been there 3 times already. Might be going this year again. Cheap and good with budget airlines around. But i mostly travel by taxi lah. Easier and for singaporeans i feel the price is quite reasonable cos the starting fare is 35 baht which is about S$1.20. Singapore taxi starting already S$2.40.

So we taxi ourselves around most of the time. I can travel for like 10km the end fare is only 75 baht. The people there are nice as well.
My uncle stays in bangkok so we still can move about qutie easily as he knows the places and also tell us to take the taxi since its by meter and they cannot cheat. If tuk tuk must bargain and it gets quite irritating.
The taxis have quite new cars there anyway.

I was there about a month back, damn shiok coz I stayed at Bayoke Sky......the staff there upgraded my room, due to shortage of rooms, from normal to deluxe suite (got loving/dining area, and a large bedroom) Had a great time there as I went shopping with my gf at MBK, whacked some seafood in a nice restaurant along Ratchadapisek Rd. In fact, my gf liked it so much, we went back again the following night. BTW, opposite Panthip Plaza, heading towards Amari Watergate, there's a corner 'kopitiam' that sells outstanding (and cheap!) noodles......always get mine dry and add 'gunpowder' to it. The rice with fatty meat, which is also sold there, is to die for too...... Of course, I went to the 4 face Buddha to pai pai....

Lol bangkok very convinient to travel and the food is nice. I go there and eat a lot of seafood. However, one bad thing is that their chicken rice there seems to taste different from the ones in singapore!!!....
