Brownie, a golden brown long coated Chihuahua died in afternoon around noon time at her crib. She was 12++. Had history of heart problems and kidney problems and had went through several operations already.:violin:

Cremation / Chut Sua to be held at Mount Pleasant Vet on wednesday...$500...and option of placing her remains at a designated pet cemetary around Tras Street at $1000 to $1500.

Very sad....fucking depressed at her passing. She is going to be my last pet.

Christian said animals like dogs have no souls thus cannot go heaven. Heng, my dog is not. :beer2:

Will see brownie again many years later i hope. Cannot take it, the pain of losing a fave pet. This is deterring me from having another one...:cry2:

Cremation

Finally the day had come for her cremation appointment. Arrived at the vet's place her. Brownie long coated chihuahua was wrapped in a white cloth. I opened her wrapping and there she was. Looking exactly like when was alive but only sleeping. Was glad to have opted for private cremation where her ashes would be available for collection and she would not be cremated with other animals.

Holding back my tears when memories of her flooded my mind. How tiny and playful she was when only a puppy,i purchased her from an Australian family who bought her here from Australia. Her parents are pedigree champion dogs and she has their genes, very pretty and well-shaped. Would never forget her glutton whines when i am eating, and her playing with her soft ball. She was a good dog, never barked or chewed at stuffs unlike others.

Placed 2 small loaves of bread and assorted titbits inside her white cloth and the attendant wrapped brownie up. I also give prepared some ghost money / kim chuah for her. This might sound silly but i am not taking chances, hopefuly when needed she can buy some dog food in afterlife and not be a hungry dog. The brownie in white cloth and ghost money are placed into the furnace. A pull of the lever and the door closes.

An hour and a half later, i was given a small colourful urn of her ashes, well-glued and i can't open it to look at the inside. Her ashes at placed at a temple in George Road where it is in town and near my sister's office. There are plenty of other dogs placed her and i think she would be in good company, i see malteses, golden retrievers and even a chowchow. Am sure the other dogs would be better company for her unlike us humans who only have limited time for them only.

:dog: RIP Brownie

I know how you feel. My guinea pig, a young one only, died under very tragic circumstances. Till today, I still blame myself thinking he could've been saved. Just be glad you had her for 12 years, and that she's now in peace.
