I lost a hammie today....

It was MooMoo my only pearl daughter of 3 daughters in my hammie family.

Here she is. she was born on 6 June 2006 and passed away on the 21 August 2006.

She was a beautiful pearl. I'm not sure why she passed but she fell ill or got an infection as her belly and backside area was red and the fur was pretty bad.. she walked in a limp. it happened so fast over just one day that i didnt really check them one by one. it could not have been bites or scratches as there were no wounds..

i cleaned n disinfected the tank also for baby - her sister just in case.

sigh i had quite a few plans for her like to have a litter of her own and all. family of pearls but.. yea.. i had her separated for a day. hand fed her food and water. but yea.. she waited for me while lying over her food and passed on with her eyes still open.. came home today. saw the nose and legs no pink... not breathing... n she didnt move an inch..

hey she passed cuz of infection or illness yea not age.. she was 3 mths old.

Eh, it's sad that it happened but if you see your pet backside and belly all red and not eating so you must handfeed, you should bring to the vet ASAP. Just imagine if a human is so sick until cannot eat, how extreme, sure will go hospital. When an animal doesn't want to eat, it's always a sign that it's serious and must go to the vet straight away.

packed her in a nice recycled paper bag.. with some bedding n food and yea she went for "cremation"
