Which one will reap back the most in the upcoming bull market? For me i think the best is penny stocks now.
IPO fever should be over by now
Blue chip has almost reach the peak.

Look at Horizon and Interra. Don't even need to think. Both are top volume shares within the first hour. Go in the first hour. Sell at the end of the day. 50% capital gains in 2 days. :)
Of course, I only do that with my gambling/punting money. I keep the rest of my retirement funds in safer waters.
Still, at current prices, I find blue chips somewhat overpriced. Waiting for corrections first before buying again.
So, for the time being, I'm stashing quite a bit on high dividend shares. CMT and Singpost are 2 which I bought a lot recently. :)

One rule of punting - Fast and Furious.
Gotta monitor very closely, aka every minute. And don't hesitate too long. Do your own online trading. Don't call broker to trade. By then, run over liao...:)
Buy at asking price. Sell at asking price. No queue required. Don't be too greedy. :)
If you notice, sometimes, the high only last for less than half an hour. e.g. Allied Tech. If you missed it, the trading will idle at lousy prices for the rest of the day.

Different age, different risk appetites. I understand.
I used to hoard money and don't even dare to go into stocks after seeing my relatives lost big in NOL share. p.s. NOL used to trade at S$4 per share.
Then when I was in Uni, I got greedy during the 1993 bull run. Let's just say I was lucky I wasn't made a bankrupt.
Me went back to hoarding cash until my financial status now is quite stable. I know how much I can survive on. I know how much I save each month. I know how much I spend each month to the last penny. :)
Take your time and learn about financial planning and your risk appetite. Never bite more than you can swallow. :)

hello, first post here.
I dun play the penny stocks blacklotus mentioned. Risk averse on high vol stocks and for a good reason. I dun have time to monitor them. I travel around quite abit daily so I dun monitor full time, though I have mobile WAP and internet access.
Alot of stuff are expensive at the moment, compare to one month back. But that is relative to the worse days.
I wait and see this week.

It doesn't matter if the stock is a IPO, penny stock or a blue chip. All you need to know is whether it is the right price to buy or not, after checking fundamentals. The market will cause the shareprice to go up over a period of time.
As EPS says, "waiting for the right pitch".

I don't concur with everything you say, but I agree with this.

Before you play,...pretend.
Pretend you just sank a little in a stock that you have studied and then write down fees, share costs and tax, watch the stock and pretend to sell. Do that three times or so and it will give you an idea of what to expect when you are playing for real. :thumb2:
