What does a financial advisor do? I was called up for a interview for this job... by my brokage :eek:

I think it is a job of selling mutual funds unit trust etc etc

Supposedly, you are to advise clients on how best to maximise their return on their money. If you don't work in an independent company without any vested interest in financial products, the company will likely ask you to push their products and services.

In other words, sort of like a salesman. Good financial advisors that have your best interests at heart are hard to find.

they are persistent. This is my second call. From Philips Capital. Cant remember the first one.

In other words, they analysis your financial situation and make a recommendation... normally with their products in mind right?

How come philips capital called u? The only reasons i can think of, u are a very outstanding investors that had reaped great returns from ur portfolio
