Advise on Power conditioner & distributor

looking for the above. after some googling. there seems in the market 2 in 1 or as separate individual function product.

i have budget constraint of under 800 for this item so looking for the most cost effective product (likely 2 in 1).

i am using for my headphone amp (2units),HT amp (1unit),cdp(currently 1, planning 2nd unit next year),dvdp(1 unit, not sure required or not) and speaker amp (1unit, planning for next year) so i may need 6 outlet?

if my above budget is too low for anything that will make any diff or improvement then i will give it a miss.

if there are such good product, kindly advise the brand/made and place to purchase from. oh, i dont mind diy as long service is readily available.

    thanks.

can't really advise without knowing more of your setup

generally if the setup is not high end (or revealing) enough you won't gain much discernable differences even with an expensive power conditioner cum distributor

800 is a good budget to get something reasonably good but not many have 6 outputs

a coupla of the guys here use belkin power strips come with surge protection

if your looking for something higher than i'd suggest kingsley at adelphi. they carry two popular brands among sg audiophiles. Castle (made in taiwan) as well as the higher end ps audio ones.

audio note carries the shunyata brand which is also highly rated.

x-audio carries the oyaide brand but i never enquired how much before...juz know they claim its really good.

alternative diy ones can be made at LHS at SLT but i really havent read any positive reviews abt them just yet.

alternatively what my house hifi systems are xindak, castle and tacima. relatively cheap and differences are quite subtle even on the most revealing system.

but don't forget your power cords also make a difference. if you want to go down the power conditioner + distributor + filtering etc. route...be prepared to spend on both power cords as well.

The DIY ones at LHS is just a better built power distributor but does not offer any power conditioning.

Xindak is pretty expensive over here almost twice the price you can get from hk.

Tacima is around the $200 price range, not really that good but value for those looking at cheap alternative. Since you have a higher budget maybe you can consider castle recommended by gabond.

tacima is $120 only incl. delivery

lower xindak models are no longer available since the new agent took over. only brings in series above the xf-1000 costing $300+
