Yantronic's WorkShop (VRoucious Audio Workshop) ... :D booest Nov 19th, 06, 09:23 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi Guys,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to all of you this Service for all Audiophiles or simply users who wish to have their Speaker Cables and InterConnects made.

There are 2 reasons for this...
1. There are a lot of people that do not have the proper tools to do this even if they want it.

2. A lot of people are taking yantronic forgranted and keep asking him to do all these as a favor. Com'on... time and money are spent on doing all these.

Details of his services will be updated.

Basics will be these for Speaker Cables :-
1. If you supply all the raw materials
- Cable
- Sleeving
- Shrink tube
- connectors

The service charge will be S$18~28, depending on the work required. As some cables need do more work like twisting and etc...
e.g. He did a pair of Speaker cables for me previously and he useda cable with more wires. Thus he twisted and looped it back
or something and made the sound a bit different. These are the extras I am talking about.

2. If you ask for advice and basically let yan choose the cables and so everything for you Service Charge is a flat fee of S$18. And you will have to pay for all materials as usual.

OTHERS:
Other work of building AMP and other services updates will be up later

Yes! Yan De and Dreamslacker were very helpful when my Z-5500s and Aegos needed new cables - thanks to them I've been enjoying wonderful audio for the last year or so.

Upz!

Is it possible for Yantronic to replace the volume control resistors for my Boston Acoustics BA4800 speakers? The system keeps giving a lot of static and distortion at anything less than full volume. Same for the subwoofer control knob. I've detached the control pod from the satellite but can't figure out how to reach the resistors.

Haha...is it safe to presume this job won't cost more than $50 bux? Just give it a shot loh. Basically i am about 95% sure that its the variable resistors giving me trouble. Just can't get to them to change them. I lurv these speakers too much to wan to replace them (though they are already 5 yrs old). Supposedly beats the promedias in terms of useable loudness (ie distortion free).

in that case not a problem.
I will arrange for it since I am helping VRoucious Workshop Manage the services.
