I was just fiddling with my Amoi 40" that I got a few months back.
And yes, I bought it knowing only the pric and the resolution.

Then I notice that there is a Card Read on the Panel.

I slot in a memory card with Photos and a aVi file and

BANG!

it plays pics and AVI as well. But not all AVI is play-able.... still
darn happy with it. watching anime on my 40" panel is really groovy

Anyone knows if the firmware can be flashed to support other codecs?

Anyone?

PLUS: It has a USB port as well. Will probably try to pay stuff from a 2.5"
HD enclosure later

the card readers and USB ports are ok la.. but can't really play everything i throw at it... sometimes the file stops halfway..
hmm the tv is good, though i got a few minor complaints about it...
i can't run my xbox 360 on 1080p... vga it only supports up to 1280x1024, so my vga 1920x1080 or 1360x768 is out.. then component was able to accept the 1080p setting, but when i check, it wasn't 1080p.. sighh minor setback i suppose...
hope there won't be any problems with my htpc setup.

edit: the firmware part most likely have to approach amoi sg to enquire ba...

imo not worth it. at most your tuner only has s-video in, too many AD-DA steps.
