get a carpet, hide the wires underneath, easiest solution.
if not run the wirings across the ceiling using a trunking.
Anyway it'll be easier if you put the TV at the window then you can run the wires at the side of the wall.

The sub move it around to find the best position, when you find it, play around with it..i'd suggest you put it beside the cabinate or beside your couch..

BTW wheres your center speaker? lol
and why your surround speaker in the front?! go get stand and place it beside the couch.

i'm not sure mate..
check your hardware store..should be for cheap though.
but you have to drill in the trunking to your ceiling..alot of work..
carpet should work fine i guess.

your currently hooked up in 2.1 mode that's why.

you need an external decoder to feed your speakers a 5.1 channel signal

something like a creative ddts-100 or best is an av amplifier

5.1 is troublesome compared to stereo but well worth it for gaming and movies

there are many ht for pcs..but their either the 3-miniplug analog kind (creative) or digital signals (coaxial/optical) requiring the decoders we mentioned.

a simple breakdown

computer (digital out) > av amp/decoder > speakers

u need a digital cable from pc to av amp/decoder and then cables to connect speakers to av amp/decoder

i don't know how your ht speakers are designed...suggest you carefully go down and find out the inputs and outputs of decoder to see how they can fit with your speakers.

another option a forumer did was buy a cheap "no-brand" av amp and hook it up to his ht system
