Finally got hold of the Sansa Clip+ 4GB, the follow up to the "audiophile's" digital audio player the Sansa Clip. This product was launched on Sept 1 and only available at Bestbuy in USA during the first week. Got this at US$49 off the shelves at the shop. Thats below SG$70.

MicroSD slot is new. Imagine adding a SG$25 8gb MicroSD to triple the capacity of the player! Its tiny too (only 2.5x dollar coin height and 1.5x dollar coin width)

Yup thats for sure.

However we do not have a choice since the distro has pulled out of SG for Sansa products.

Still its a small price for music lovers. Its one of the top in sound quality beating out other players that cost hundreds of dollars more. Lets not forget a $25 8gb micro SD card effectively triples its capacity.

Yea I know the safety implications of not hearing outside noise. IEMs will mostly be used in controlled environments eg. gym, park or stadium jogging.

Probably use my portapros for street runs.

And actually it's bad for the ears too - increased blood pressure from exercising plus high low-frequency air pressure.

It's good for blocking out noise so can listen at lower volumes though.

wonder whether recording capabilities are the same as the old sansa clip... the first gen's recording capabilities were good.. its a sure buy for the price

The only problem most people are ranting about is non gapless support.
SQ wise is about the same just that they're fixing the pitch problem, though my ears are not sharp or educated enough to pick up the difference.

Old clip V1 hardware could be rockboxed... which is another god sent.
