UE MetroFi 220 jarred1223 Sep 19th, 09, 10:49 AM #1 (permalink)
Hi everyone.

There's a forumer selling this earphones. I'm wondering if it's better than my current one (CX400). My main genre of music is rock, would the UE be suitable for it?

Thanks!

Marginal difference. Just stick with your current pair.

I was also tempted by that sale... until I did a little more research on it... UE SF5 EBS seemed to be the perfect one for rock genre

Amazon.com: Used and New: Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Extended Bass Noise Isolating Earphones (Black)

You should take advantage of the weakening USD now. I am planning to save $$ for this one, seems to be the one to get!

Oh yah... its out of your stated budget I forgot to mention... but, heck.... do it once, do it right and dont ever look back.

Sorry, to highjack, but I was looking at UE MetroFi 220 too and noticed it was same price as UE Super Fi 3 Studio, which is better ?

If you wish to get any of the Super.Fi series of UE's IEM,do hurry up as they are phased out already from their line.Personally,I will try to save up to get the Super.Fi 5 EB,they are really made for rock and those bass-heavy music, hence the Extended Bass given to it.

The UM1 is not really for rock personally since it is severely lacking in the bass department. The SF3 is not too bad when I used to own it,but some reviews have said that it is also bass-light,but do take these with a pinch of salt.Let your ears (and wallet) decide for you.
