P scan on Hyundai TV 2manydjs Sep 25th, 09, 11:46 AM #1 (permalink)
Hello,

I was given a Hyunday LCD TV (HTV 3200) by friend! Of course very happy with it! Now I'm trying to connect my Apple TV through component cables. This works well on interlaced 576i output, but I would of course prefer 576p.. This setting is not properly detected by TV and it shows me two duplicate screens next to each other. So I try to find the progressive scan setting on the TV, but the remote button "P mode" doesn't seem to do anything. The manual doesn't say anything on progressive scan and google doesn't give me anything on this (obscure?) model.

The TV has VGA/DVI in with a resolution up to 1280x1024 (according to the manual) so I would expect that 576p progressive scan wouldn't be a problem at all! (Maybe even 720p?)

I know on Samsung TV's you need to hold the "p scan" button for 10 secs or so before it changes. I've tried this on the Hyundai with no result. Is there some other "combo" Hyundai uses on their TV's?

Thanks!
