Hello Friends ...

I use Altec Lansing AVS300B from last 2 years but now i want to change it ..

I sort out some speakers but dont know which one is better :-
1.Edifier C3
2.Altec Lnasing VS4121
3.Logitech X230

Use for :-
1.Gaming
2.Music
3.Movies

Is sound card needed for these speakers ???

Yah ... Sound card is always needed man ... I tried On-board audio with my Edifier C3 ... sucks to the core ... After i inserted the Creative X-Fi ... oh ho ho ho ... totally different liao ...

Now that I have the edifier c3 ... I am trying to see if I can get another Altec Lansing MX5021 and I am going to have 4.2 system ... hehe!~

Boss Companion 2 also not bad when it match with my citypulse, juz that it need a little more breathing space for its size. Bass cfm better than A2.

How is Auzentech Xplosion Card ???

Is it good for gaming + music ???

Take Edifier C3 bro if you want to focus to music, but for your info the bass is not quite good. I haven't tried it yet, but some reviews told so. But dont worry about mid and high freq, it will give you what you need for detail and separation.

I had Altec VS4121, the bass is so boomy, and for mid freq you need more add-on soundcard, but i think it will not help you lots. The price is far compared to C3, Altec 4121 is cheaper than C3.

I think Edifier C2 is good enough, lower grade than C3, not so much detail as C3 has.

The character of logitech is on its bass, it is good for movie, but not for music.

Why dont you try Altec MX5021 or Gigaworks T3 or Promedia 2.1 THX? The greatest on its range price.

You need add-on sound card to boost and enrich your sound, try Terratec Aureon Space (chipset envy 24HT). Value for money but worth in sound quality.

I dont have budget for MX5021 therefore choose Edifier C3...
