That's what we're going to find out.

Being bookshelves doesn't automatically mean it's good, I've heard a fair share of cheap bookshelves that can't compare with computer speakers (think Hi-Fi CD player).

It's a digital amp that works based off PWM principles so the conventional DC coupling calculations don't apply directly.

It basically creates the waveform based on rapidly varying pulses at full 12v into the load. Also, it can reverse the 12v into the load like a bridged amp to achieve a "negative" waveform across the speaker.

Not quite..

Reversing 12v into the load just means that it can raise the negative pole to 12v whilst the positive pole remains at Gnd.
Thus, making the speaker see an effective -12v across the terminals (positive wrt negative pole) during a rarefaction wave.
